The University of Malaga (UMA) is one of Spain's premiere institutions of higher learning (world ranking: 736) [2016]. Since its foundation back in 1972, UMA has rapidly expanded its international presence and prestige. Currently, UMA has 2 campuses (1.797.247 m2), +35,000 students, +2,400 professors, 23 faculties and schools, 82 departments, 200 educational programmes (incl. 68 undergraduate, 75 master and 34 phd), 200 phd thesis/year, 278 research groups, research projects (425 national / 150 EU [2007-2016]), and +1,800 business contacts. Regarding international relations, UMA has bilateral agreements with +550 universities from all over the world (Europe, Iberoamerica, North Africa, Asia, USA/Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, etc.) with +1,000/+1,000 exchange students (in/out)/year and +100/+100 exchange researchers (in/out)/year. UMA is member of +100 networks/associations. UMA stimulates educational innovation and research by boosting the quality of its professors and research groups through their participation in international research projects - managed by OTRI (Research Results Transference Office) - with the support and sponsorship of enterprises from local TechPark (PTA). The university has a dedicated career center which fosters the employability of students and young researchers by offering a wide services portfolio including academic/professional counselling, paid internships/fellowships, etc. UMA meets the following quality standards: EFQM 200, EFQM 300, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, etc. UMA is also part of the “Andalucia Tech” campus of excellence. The staff of UMA that will be involved in the project include education experts, researchers, technical and administrative personnel.
As a partner University of Malaga will actively participate in realizing all Intellectual Outputs, contribute to project management and project execution. The University of Malaga has extensive experience in EU projects, especially with a focus on the transfer of knowledge and innovation in European contexts puts UMA in an ideal position to ensure that the materials and services developed in the RED project are in keeping with the quality expectations of the ERAMUS+ program.
Julio Ruiz Palmero is PhD in Educational Technology (Extraordinary Doctorate Award). Professor at the University of Malaga and Director of various masters and university experts related to educational innovation.
He has leaded and/or participated in different national and international projects. He is the author of more than thirty publications and evaluator of the National Agency of Evaluation and Prospective (ANEP) of the Ministry of Science and Innovation.
He is a member of Scientific Committees and is a reviewer of different scientific journals specialised in educational technology and innovation. Editor of Innoeduca -International Journal of Technology and Educational Innovation-.
José Sánchez Rodríguez is Graduate in Teaching, with a degree and doctorate in Pedagogy. Teacher from 1981 to 2003 of Infant/Primary Education and since 1996 lecturer in the Faculty of Education Sciences at the University of Malaga (currently full university lecturer).
Author/co-author/coordinator of 38 articles, 29 book chapters, 38 books, 54 papers and/or communications at international conferences, positive assessment of a six-year CNEAI research period, participation in R+D+I projects at international level and 11 doctoral theses supervised.
Ernesto Colomo Magaña is PhD in Educational Sciences from the University of Malaga, Master's Degree in Social Change and Educational Professions, Degree in Pedagogy and Diploma in Teaching, specialising in Physical Education.
Teaching and Research Staff at the Department of Theory and History of Education and MIDE at the University of Malaga. His lines of research focus on educommunication, teacher training, analysis of the teaching profession and axiology.
Teresa Linde-Valenzuela is PhD in Education and Social Communication from the University of Malaga, where she belongs to the Department of Didactics and School Organisation since 2013.
Master’s Degree in Territorial Employment Policies from the University of Cordoba, Bachelor Degree in Psycho-pedagogy from the National University of Distance Education (UNED) and Graduate in Teaching, specialising in Hearing and Speech from the University of Malaga, University Expert Diploma in E-Learning Project Leadership and Management from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), Specialist Diploma in European Project Management from the University of Granada, Higher Technician in Occupational Risk Prevention, specialising in Safety; and Gender Equality Specialist.
Currently, she is a member of the research group Innoeduca at University of Málaga and she is involved in European projects.
She has been visiting researcher at Trinity College Dublin and at the University of La Réunion. Her research interests are educational innovation, teacher training, educational technology, intergenerational digital literacy, family education and gender in education.
